The avuncular DNA test is an indirect paternity test to determine if an alleged uncle or aunt is related to a niece or nephew. It can be conducted when a person’s parents, grandparents and siblings are not available for DNA testing. In this test, the DNA sample taken from the person is compared with the DNA sample of his/her suspected uncle or aunt to find out whether they are biologically related or not. In some cases, the results of the avuncular test is accepted as irrefutable proof of paternity by the court of law.

Legal testing clients can choose to come into a facility across Canada or have a mobile unit dispatched to a desired location for sample collection. Upon completing your order, a DNA Specialist will contact you to arrange for sample collection. Note that all Legal testing requires ID to be presented.

Your results will be ready within 5 to 7 business days, or you can add a rush analysis which ensures your results are completed within 3 to 5 business days.
